I was tired of the usual pot roast, and we have chicken all the time so,the idea of pulled pork occured to me. I tweaked this reciped just a bit and the result was really good! The ingredients needed to make Easy Crock Pot Pulled Pork:
  1. Take 1 pork roast
  2. Take 1 1/2 cup Root Beer or Coke
  3. Take 2 cup barbecue sauce (I personally use Sweet Baby Ray's)

Remove the roast from the slow cooker, and shred the meat using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker, and stir the meat into the juices. Spread the inside of both halves of hamburger buns with butter. Toast the buns, butter side down, in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown.

  1. Put the pork roast in the crock pot, add the root beer/coke and cook on high for 4 to 5 hours.
  2. Take the pork roast out of the crock pot, drain all liquid. Shred pork and add back to the crock pot.
  3. Add the barbecue sauce to the shredded pork and cook on high for another hour.
  4. Serve on a toasted bun and enjoy.
