  3. Pour the remaining chocolate chunks into the cake mix and pour over the pears making sure that there are no gaps and all the pears are covered.
  4. Place in the oven for 20-25 minutes making sure that the cake mix is slightly golden in colour but cooked. (the mix does not need to rise like a normal cake)
  5. Remove from the oven and serve warm with vanilla ice cream .

For the filling, put the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl and, using an electric mixer, whisk until pale and creamy.
