The ingredients needed to make Mango Flan:
  1. Prepare 2 cups full fat milk
  2. Get 1 cup mango pulp
  3. Prepare 4 tbsp sugar–(adjust)
  4. Take 5 drops mango essence
  5. Make ready 10 roasted almonds
  6. Take 2 eggs
  7. Make ready 2 teaspoon custard powder
  8. Take 2 tbsp sugar for caramelization
  9. Prepare 8-10 sweet cherries

Traditionally, however, Flan is both richer and denser than crème caramel, as it contains more eggs and yolks as well as light whipping cream, half and half, and/or sweetened condensed milk. While coconut flan has been fairly common for many years, recently I have also encountered mango and pumpkin flan as well. I created this version, combining the two tropical flavors I love - BOTH mango and coconut! Mix all the ingredients in blender (for the exception of the ones for the caramel).

Steps to make Mango Flan:
  1. In a heavy bottom pot caramelized the sugar and pour into custard mould and keep it aside
  2. Heat milk in a pan add sugar and mix well
  3. Dissolve custard powder in two tablespoon milk, and add to milk, mix well
  4. Stir continuously until milk thickens. Switch off the heat and cool the custard to the room temperature
  5. Add mango pulp to custard and mix well
  6. Blend two beaten eggs and mango essence, in the custard,until well combined
  7. Add chopped almonds and mix. Pour the mixture into prepared mould over caramelize sugar.
  8. Steam this custard for 20 to 25 minutes
  9. Let it cool this prepared flan on room temperature.
  10. Refrigerate flan for three to four hours until set.
  11. Take it out from the refrigerator and decorate it with cherries and mango
  12. And the chilled mango Flan is ready

I created this version, combining the two tropical flavors I love - BOTH mango and coconut! Mix all the ingredients in blender (for the exception of the ones for the caramel). On a separate pan, melt sugar, water, syrup and lemon, until brown. Add caramel to the mold and wait until it cools. Add the mix to the mold.
