The ingredients needed to make Chicken and Rice Casserole:
  1. Get 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup or (10 1/2 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed 98% Fat Free Cream of Mushroom Soup
  2. Get 1 cup water
  3. Get 3/4 cup uncooked long grain white rice
  4. Make ready 1 1/4 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  5. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  6. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Add rice, onion, broth, and soup and stir until combined. For this chicken and rice casserole, I like to use medium or long grain white rice. Some rice varieties, such as brown rice, require more liquid (and a longer cooking time). Add the uncooked rice to the soup mixture; mix until combined.

Steps to make Chicken and Rice Casserole:
  1. Stir the soup, water, rice, paprika and black pepper in an 11x8x2-inch baking dish. Top with the chicken. Season with additional paprika and black pepper. Cover the baking dish.
  2. Bake at 375°F. for 45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the rice is tender.  Let stand for 10 minutes.  Stir the rice before serving.

Some rice varieties, such as brown rice, require more liquid (and a longer cooking time). Add the uncooked rice to the soup mixture; mix until combined. Transfer the soup/rice mixture to the casserole then spread out in the dish. Place the chicken on top of the mixture. Sprinkle with the dry onion soup.
