  18. Get 3 Shiso leaves
  19. Prepare 4 sheets Nori seaweed

It's an inside out roll, meaning the rice is on the outside and the other ingredients (avocado, imitation crab and cucumber) are on the inside of the roll. The Avocado roll is another inside-out roll that only has avocado on the inside. Remove the cling film from the rolls, serve with soy sauce and wasabi. Dip your fingers into your bowl of water and transfer a few drops onto the exposed portion of the nori (at the top).

Instructions to make Sushi Rolls with Avocado & Spam:
  1. Make the sushi rice. Refer to "Homemade Sushi Vinegar".
  2. Prepare the filling: Use half of the avocado. Pit, then slice the flesh thinly. Sprinkle with lemon juice to avoid discoloring.
  3. [Slice the spam into 7-8 mm strips. Brown in a pan.
  4. Beat eggs well. Add all ★ ingredients and make tamagoyaki. Slice into 7-8 mm strips.
  5. Prepare the crabsticks.
  6. Cut thin lengthwise strips of cucumber.
  7. Julienne the shiso leaves.
  8. Place the nori vertically, and spread out a fourth of the rice. Leave about 1 cm space closest to you and 3c m space on the opposite side uncovered. Evenly spread the rice and add a bit more to the farther end, this makes rolling easier. Center the ingredients. Lay the shiso leaves on top of spam.
  9. Roll up from the side closest to you. Hold the ingredients together with both hands, and wrap up as if sticking the two ends of the rice. Refer to photo above. Press down lightly to secure.
  10. Wrap up the leftover ends of the nori. Set aside with the ends facing down.
  11. When the nori is secured, slice into desired sizes. It's tasty as it is, to the saltiness from the spam.

Remove the cling film from the rolls, serve with soy sauce and wasabi. Dip your fingers into your bowl of water and transfer a few drops onto the exposed portion of the nori (at the top). Cover a bamboo sushi mat with cling film to keep the rice from sticking. Place a sheet of seaweed over the cling film. Arrange cucumber and avocado across the centre of the rice.
