These chiles are grown in Jalisco, Nayarit as well as the Mexico City region of Mexico. One of our favorite salsas combine arbol chiles, guajillo chiles and peanuts.   1. Peel and Wash Tomatillos
  2. Grill Tomatillos and Tomatoes on flat pan set to medium heat for 6-8 minutes and grill until char. Rotate them so each side gets a small char.
  3. Grill 15 (for medium) or 30 (for hot) Arbol Chile's and 5 garlic cloves on flat pan set to medium for 1 minute. Remember to de-stem the Chile's.
  4. Boil 2 cups of water in a sauce pan. Slice white onion (doesn't matter how) and add to water. Add chiles, garlic, tomatoes and tomatillos to boiled water. Cover and let cook on medium for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add 1/2 bunch of cilantro to a blender. Add boiled water, onions, tomatillos, tomatoes, garlic, salt, pepper and chiles to blender. Blend until pulverized.
  6. Poor into bowl and refrigerate
