  5. Make ready 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  8. Take 2 ready made pie crusts
  9. Get 1 tbsp butter/margarine
  10. Prepare 1 egg white, lightly beaten

Remove pie from oven (leave oven on) and place on a baking sheet. Praline Topping: In a small saucepan melt butter. Stir in brown sugar and cream. Heat to boiling; remove from heat and add pecans.

Instructions to make Praline Apple Pie:
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine apples & coffee mixture, tossing to coat well. Add brown sugar, pecans, flour, cinnamon, & nutmeg. Toss gently to coat.
  3. Fit 1 crust into a 9" pie plate.
  4. Spoon in apple mixture.
  5. Dot with butter.
  6. Brush rim with some of egg white.
  7. Cover with remaining crust. Crimp edges to seal top & bottom crusts. Cut 3-4 sits in top to vent or cut a design of your choice.
  8. Lightly brush top of crust with remaining egg white. Then sprinkle sugar over top.
  9. Bake 10 minutes; reduce oven temperature to 350°F. Bake for an additional 50 minutes.
  10. Place on wire rack to cool for 30 minutes before serving.

Stir in brown sugar and cream. Heat to boiling; remove from heat and add pecans. Spread topping on top of baked pie. Place pie on a baking sheet and return to oven. Remove from oven, and let cool.
