In a saucepan, put in the crushed ginger, garlic and pilau. Add salt and pepper to taste then cover the pot and cook on medium heat When the Food is nearly dry, lower down the heat to very low, cover your Pilau with aluminium paper (please avoid newspapers or polythene papers) and place the lid on top.

  5. For awesome results use a charcoal jiko and reduce the amount of water. When water dries up cover with lead and put the charcoal on top as if baking it. It will take approximately 30 minutes to cook.
  6. You can serve with a salad of your choice and if you like pepper fry some in tomatoes.
