- Peel the carrots. Wash and grate them
1. Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan, Add the carrots and saute for few minutes…
1. Add sugar and crushed cardamom pods and saute for a few minutes until the carrots become lightly soft. - Add milk and malai. Mix and cook until entire milk is evaporated and gajar halwa mixture is thickened. Now add dry fruits.
- Once the gajar halwa has thickened to a good consistency, turn off the flame and the halwa is ready to be served.
- Garnish with chopped nuts.
