Place the ground beef in a large pot and throw in the garlic. Cook over medium heat until browned. Drain off the excess fat, and then pour in the tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt. Bring this chili to any potluck or gathering and watch it disappear in no time.

  1. Add Ground Beef and Onions to Medium Sized Pot and Brown Beef and Onion for about 10 minutes
  2. Drain Grease

  4. Add Diced Tomatoes, Spices, Brown Sugar, Beef Broth, Tomato Paste
  5. Heat mixture on high heat to a boil then reduce heat to simmer for 30 minutes or longer.
  6. This can be made with a Slow Cooker/Crockpot. Brown Beef, Onions and Garlic. Drain. Add the rest of the ingredients. High 3-4 hours. Low 6-8 hours.
  7. Garnish Ideas: - sour cream - shredded cheddar cheese - chopped green onions - chopped white onions - cilantro, for Tex-Mex flavor - lime wedges, for Tex-Mex flavor - tortilla chips, for Tex-Mex flavor

Sauté and Cook Beef: In a large pot add the olive oil over medium high heat. Add the onion, bell pepper and garlic and sauté until almost tender.
