In a bowl add gram flour (besan), Curd and water. Mix well and make a smooth batter. The batter should be of thick consistency. Dhokla is a nutritious, steamed vegetarian gram flour snack from Gujarat in Western India, but it is popular all over the country.

Dhokla is one of the most favored of recent trending meals on earth. It’s appreciated by millions every day. It’s easy, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. They are nice and they look wonderful. Dhokla is something which I’ve loved my entire life.

To get started with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook dhokla using 18 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Dhokla:
  1. Make ready 1 cup gram flour
  2. Get 1-2 tsp Salt
  3. Make ready 1 tsp turmeric powder
  4. Make ready 2 tsp Sugar
  5. Take Water for batter
  6. Get 1 tsp Oil
  7. Prepare 1 packed Eno (fruit salt)
  8. Get For Tempering:-
  9. Get 2 tsp Oil
  10. Take 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  11. Take 10-12 leaves Curry
  12. Make ready 2 lemon juice
  13. Make ready 4-5 Green chili
  14. Make ready 1-2 tsp Sugar
  15. Get 1 cup Water
  16. Get 1-2 tbsp coriender leaves
  17. Prepare 1 tbsp grated coconut
  18. Make ready Pomegranate krenels

This dhokla recipe is a quick and easy one that is delicious as well as healthy! Dhokla is a light, fluffy, aerated vegetarian snack or served as an accompaniment. Dhokla is steamed and is infused with flavoured water. Many different varieties of dhokla and khaman dhokla exist.

Instructions to make Dhokla:
  1. In a mixing bowl take gram flour, salt, sugar and water mix well with add 2 tsp oil mix very well, make a smooth flowing batter and rest for 20 minutes.
  2. Boil 2 glass water on a kadhai. Put a stand on it than add full packet of eno (fruit salt) on mixture and mix it. Greese a round shape thali or pan mould than pour mixture on it.
  3. Keep mixture on stand than cook for 15-20min.
  4. Check after 15-20min with a knife if knife comes clean than dhokla cooked properly. Cut with knife.
  5. For Tempering:- Heat oil in a frying pan add mustard seed, slit green chilli, curry leave on it. Add 1cup water, 3 spoon sugar 1/2 spoon salt, 2 lemon juice, coriender leaves mix well, Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Spread this tempering over the dhokla. Spread grated coconut.
  7. Cool down with room temperature than refrigerate for 1/2 hour serve with Chutney.

Dhokla is steamed and is infused with flavoured water. Many different varieties of dhokla and khaman dhokla exist. Khaman is a steamed savoury cake made with chana dal and curd. It is much more dense than a dhokla though of dhokla and khaman dhokla are steamed. White cloud-like dhoklas made with semolina (suji), fruit salt and hung curd underlined with the kick of ginger.
